Q. Who operates this list?
A. This electronic discussion group is operated by MAGiC. More information about MAGiC may be found at the http://www.minnesotaguardianship.org web site.
Q. What is an Electronic Mailing (Emailing or Email) List?
A. An electronic discussion group is a collection of email addresses belonging to subscribers of the list. Each email list has a unique email address, called the list address, made up of the list name and the list domain. The list address is magic-members@magic.biglist.com. An email message sent to the list address will reach all subscribers. This functions similarly to the CC: (carbon copy) and BCC: fields in your email client. The difference between these functions and a BIGLIST email list is that the BIGLIST email list includes several automated functions to make it easy to manage the list. For example, subscribers can join and leave the mailing list without your help and the BIGLIST system automatically purges the list of invalid addresses.
Q. How do I leave a list or unsubscribe from a list?
A. Each email message sent to the list (called a list message) contains a removal link along with unsubscribe instructions for removing your address from the mailing list. Simply click the removal link or follow the instructions. Each removal link is customized for each subscriber so that the exact address to be unsubscribed may be determined. An unsubscribe form is also provided in case you no longer have a list message. More complete information may be found here
Q. Can I temporarily stop receiving list messages while I am on vacation?
A. Certainly! Log in to the subscription management site and set your vacation (near the top of the page) by choosing the last day of your vacation. You will resume receiving list messages the day after your last vacation day.
