MAGiC’s Quarterly Luncheon

Wingspan's Rainbow Support Group focuses on educating and training individuals and agencies on working with clients who are DD and LGBTQIA+ identifying.

Wingspan's Rainbow Support Group is a welcoming, safe space for LGBTQ+ people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The group, which has been running for over 20 years, is free and open to all LGBTQ+ self-advocates in the Twin Cities area. Through social activities, education, peer support, and connection with the wider LGBTQ+ community, we aim to decrease isolation and increase health. We are available to consult with those beyond the Twin Cities who wish to start their own group or are looking for resources and information about sexuality and gender for people with I/DD. We offer virtual and in-person workshops and self-advocate speakers for guardians and family members, group homes, day programs, case managers, and other disability service providers.
