Stacy L. Kabele
Attorney Kabele Law Firm, LLCBiographical Info
I represent individuals, fiduciaries, and family members involved in difficult guardianship/conservatorship cases. I have significant jury and court trial experience and will zealously and tenaciously advocate for my client in the courtroom. But if the prospect of a trial compromises valued family relationships, I will skillfully assist my client in negotiating a creative out-of-court resolution. Representative clients include individuals in disputes with family members, fiduciaries (including trustees, conservators, and personal representatives), persons who may lack capacity due to illness or age, and other interested parties.
I serve on the Hennepin County panel of Court-appointed attorneys to represent respondents in cases against whom petitions for guardianship and/or conservatorship were filed.
I have first-chaired over 25 jury trials and 15 bench trials during my career. I have been involved in several high profile complex civil litigation cases, including the Tom Petters civil litigation cases and civil litigation related to the Ivy Hotel and condominium project in downtown Minneapolis. But no client is too small – what I truly love is using my legal training and expertise to help families through tough times.
I earned my law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law in 1996, where I was a member of the Iowa Law Review. I graduated from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa with a degree in political science in 1992.
I have been named a Rising Star by Minnesota Law & Politics magazine. I have also been a presenter to legal associations in the Twin Cities and have been published in legal publications.
In my free time, I enjoy volunteering. I currently volunteer for the PROP Shop in Eden Prairie. I also volunteer my time for fundraising and event-planning for cat rescue organizations. In the past, I have volunteered for Bitty Kitty Brigade, Feline Rescue, and Habitat for Humanity, and I was a Big Sister for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Twin Cities.
